چکیده

Combining a perovskite top cell with conventional passivated emitter and rear (PERC) silicon bottom in monolithically integrated tandem device is an economically attractive solution to boost the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of single‐junction technology. Proof‐of‐concept perovskite/silicon solar cells using high‐temperature stable featuring polycrystalline on oxide (POLO) front junction PERC‐type side local aluminum‐p + contacts are reported. For this PERC/POLO cell, process flow that compatible industrial, mainstream PERC technology implemented. Top connected via tin‐doped indium recombination layer. The layer formation POLO optimized by postdeposition annealing mitigation sputter damage. p−i−n architecture. demonstrate PCE up 21.3%. Based experimental findings supporting optical simulations, major performance enhancements optimization identified potential 29.5% for these PERC‐like estimated.

Effect of Silicon Nanowire on Crystalline Silicon Solar Cell Characteristics

Nanowires (NWs) are recently used in several sensor or actuator devices to improve their ordered characteristics. Silicon nanowire (Si NW) is one of the most attractive one-dimensional nanostructures semiconductors because of its unique electrical and optical properties. In this paper, silicon nanowire (Si NW), is synthesized and characterized for application in photovoltaic device. Si NWs are ...

Production Technology for Passivation of Polycrystalline Silicon Solar Cells

Techniques for cost-efficient operation of SiNx:H systems with a capability for hydrogen passivation in a manufacturing environment are analyzed. We conclude that SiNx:H performance may be optimized by a variety of techniques, and that the cost and productivity of the deposition tool may be the determining factors in the industry’s decision for a particular technique. PECVD constitutes the curr...

An Investigation on a Crystalline-Silicon Solar Cell with Black Silicon Layer at the Rear

Crystalline-Si (c-Si) solar cell with black Si (b-Si) layer at the rear was studied in order to develop c-Si solar cell with sub-band gap photovoltaic response. The b-Si was made by chemical etching. The c-Si solar cell with b-Si at the rear was found to perform far better than that of similar structure but with no b-Si at the rear, with the efficiency being increased relatively by 27.7%. This ...

Emitter Passivation Properties of PECVD Silicon Nitride on Silicon Solar Cells

As industrially produced solar cells become thinner and more efficient, silicon nitride (SiN) films are becoming increasingly important. At present, the favored means of producing these films is by remote plasma-enhanced chemical vapour deposition (RPECVD). In this paper, using films produced by an industrial Roth & Rau SiNA RPECVD reactor, we investigate the surface passivation qualities of Si...

Texturing industrial multicrystalline silicon solar cells

Three potential techniques for texturing commercial multicrystalline silicon solar cells are compared on the basis of reflectance measurements. Wet acidic texturing, which would be the least costly to implement, produces a modest improvement in reflection before antireflection coating and encapsulation, whereas maskless reactive-ion etching texturing, and especially masked reactive-ion etched p...
